Our Story

In 2019, Thom started a small home bakery in her kitchen. Two years later, she hired her first assistant and opened a small shop in An Bàng, baking to order every day. Now, in 2024, we have over twenty staff across three locations in Hội An.

Our Philosophy

From the very beginning, Thom's Sourdough Bakery has been committed to the sourdough vision, and we have never used commercial yeast in any of our products.
We extend this philosophy to all of our products: we believe that food should be made with real, unprocessed, local, natural ingredients, with a fair price paid to everyone involved, from farm to table.

What's Next?

None of this would have been possible without the amazing response of the community to Thom's bread. We don't know where the future will lead, but we are sure that, with your help, we will continue to tell the Story of Sourdough for many years to come.

Our Commitments

We strive for a balance between local ingredients, fair treatment of farmers, health, and great taste

  • All of our baked goods are 100% real sourdough

    We never use commercial yeast in any of our products, from breads to pastries and more. This means our baked goods are naturally low in gluten, loaded with probiotics and health giving enzymes, and taste great too!

  • We use real ingredients

    All olive oil we use is 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Our butter is 100% New Zealand Anchor brand butter. We only use real dark chocolate. We only use locally produced fresh milk without additives or preservatives. We make all sauces in house using quality ingredients. We have nothing to hide - get in touch if you want more info about any of the ingredients we use.

  • We care about the people who grow our coffee

    All of our coffee is either certified by the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia, an organisation which works to ensure reasonable pricing for the coffee farmers, or grown on a single farm that we have selected in Dalat
